Tim “T-N-T” Edmonds

Tim Edmonds started boxing at age 14 with Meridian Boxing Club located at Kress Building, downtown Meridian, MS. He has competed and won on several levels: locally, regionally and nationally throughout his amateur career. Mr. Edmonds started his professional career in 1996 and has been televised on ESPN2, Tuesday Night Fights and Denmark Networks. Mr. Edmonds along with his wife, Yolanda Edmonds, started training their kids, Rashaad, Tyi and Timorie Edmonds shortly after Tim’s last professional fight.  All of them have competed as a Southern Boxing Association member. Team “T-N-T” Boxing (stemming from his ring name “T-N-T”) took flight and more than 15 kids were under his tutelage by 2005. Mr. Edmonds has been one on the most sought out boxing trainers in the Meridian area and surrounding counties.

Team “T-N-T” Boxing, now an affiliate of Gracie601 Jiu Jitsu, located at 4701A Poplar Springs Drive currently trains ages 8 and up. Thanks to Paul Joyner, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor and owner of Gracie 601, Team “T-N-T” has been able to rebuild since Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Joyner opened his doors to Tim and Yolanda as boxing instructors in 2010 and the merger has been a huge success.
